This was my first 14.2 finescale 3mm layout and is based on a lifelong interest in private railways really exemplified by the Colonel Stephens lines such as the K&ESR and East Kent railway. In keeping with this my layout is the Mid Kent Railway based in the Weald of Kent.

The layout was planned using Templot and the track laid using ply sleepers with plastic chairs and society code 60 rail and the rolling stock is mainly 3mm Society and F&S kits.

The locos once again are Mainly F&S kits, since the demise of F&S due to retirement, these kits have now been taken over by the Society and will in future be handled by them
